Ali Terwilliger #1
When we arrived at the Adult Training Program facility in San Marcos we were greeted by Mike, one of the teachers at the school. He led us into one of the classrooms and we got to meet some of the students in the program. Shortly after we met with other people from NCCSE and began discussing the program and their ideas for the video. It was my understanding that they primary target audience for the video was possible employers and parents interested in getting their children enrolled in the program. We also talked about possible interview subjects and decided that we would interview one of the employers, a member of NCCSE, and a graduate of the ATP program who now works at Dogtopia in San Marcos. We talked about access to facilities and releases for the students and people who would appear in the video. We talked about which days and hours would be best for filming and we are planning on doing the bulk of our shooting on Tuesdays and Fridays. We decided that we would also shoot some of the classroom activites as well as film the students running the student store at San Marcos High School. The members of NCCSE were very open to letting us make most of the decisions about the video. They seem really laid back and excited for the work that we are going to provide them with. I look forward to continuing this project with them.
